About the Content Integrations team

A critical part of our SaaS loyalty platform is our global content catalog - providing our end-users rich personalized content to spend and earn rewards with. Our content integrations team design, implement and maintain the integrations we have with over 200 different content partners globally - such as hotel and airline loyalty programs, digital gift card providers, e-wallets and more! 

About the Role 

As the Director of Engineering for Content Integrations, you will lead teams of engineers responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of integrations with content providers on our loyalty platform. You will drive the technical strategy, ensure the scalability and robustness of our integrations, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for the Content Integration engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Drive improvements in how we manage our content integrations - continuously improving our platforms to be more efficient, reliable, secure and performant and can support the future needs of our business.

• Lead and nurture multiple teams of engineers - fostering a high-performance culture within the team to deliver on team goals.

• Partner closely with peers from teams such as Product, Quality Engineering, DevOps and Security, Business Development and Customer Success to ensure alignment of shared goals.

• As part of engineering leadership in Ascenda, lead and drive cross-functional initiatives across the entire engineering team.

• Play a key role in the continued growth and expansion of the team - setting a high hiring bar within the team and working closely with recruitment teams to drive towards resourcing goals.

What we're looking for:

• Proven track record of leadership and management experience in a technology-driven organisation

• Previous experience in managing multiple teams of engineering managers and engineers. 

• An individual capable of functioning across various levels, from crafting vision and strategy to leading practical implementation.

• Deep knowledge about modern technology stacks, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, APIs and how to build robust, scalable systems and platforms.

• Experience leading, coaching and inspiring engineering teams, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

• Experience building systems that have a large amount of integrations to external third parties, with a focus on reliability (99.99% uptime), scalability and extensibility (e.g. making it super straightforward to add a new content provider).

• Passion for integrations – we bring together content providers from around the world to build the best experience for our end-users.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, as well as with external stakeholders

• Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering impactful solutions.
