UI/UX Designer

Job description

Nice to meet you! We are Ascenda.

We are a global fintech company headquartered in Singapore. Help us transform how the world’s biggest financial brands engage their customers!

The thrill of saving up loyalty points for an exciting trip, or the joy of treating your loved one to a Michelin star dinner courtesy of a special offer – these are the magical moments that Ascenda makes possible. This is why we are here.

We make loyalty simple for banks and payment networks globally. Previously, these companies had to endure complex patchworks of third-party systems, mediocre user experiences and 18-month implementation projects to deploy a competitive rewards program.

We turn things upside down with loyalty solutions rooted in beautiful design, exceptional customer value and rapid implementation.

What we offer? A role like no other!

We are looking for a fast-learning UI/UX Designer to join our team full-time. If you’ve gained some initial experience during your studies or during a first job and are hungry to expand your horizons quickly, then this is the role for you!

You’ll play a key part in designing beautiful rewards experiences for bank customers around the world: from tracking their rewards balances to claiming cashback, making travel bookings, exchanging points, and redeeming gift cards – the possibilities are endless and ever-growing!

You’ll work closely with other Designers, Product Managers and Software Engineers to assess client and user needs, develop the user experience & interface, and deploy new solutions to our large bank clients across the globe.

  • Work closely with other Designers, Product Managers and Software Engineers to develop the user experience and interface designs for Ascenda’s rewards solutions.
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with Product Managers and help translate these into well-written user stories.
  • Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, low and high fidelity designs.
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
  • Create original graphic designs.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX challenges.

  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Cross-functional networking
  • Performance-based rewards

  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Design, or relevant field
  • 1 year experience as a UI/UX designer, but we’re happy to welcome fresh grads if you can showcase a portfolio of UX/UI work
  • Proficient in design software, prototyping and wireframing tools (e.g. Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, Abstract etc)
  • Knowledge of responsive web design
  • Good communication skills with the ability to speak about creative processes and communicate the design strategy, not afraid of suggesting changes and improvements
  • Knowledge of user research, usability testing and accessibility standards
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Fast learner, keen to learn about new skills and new domains
