Join us as a Manager, Partnerships & Marketing, UAE
Take on an exciting role in Dubai as a Manager for Ascenda’s Partnerships & Marketing team, with ownership of dozens of bank and merchant relationships as well as the corporate brand & marketing strategy within your region.
This role encompasses managing existing partnerships and clients, as well as generating new opportunities for Ascenda to provide rewards technology to other major local banks and card issuers.
Working remotely with our global teams from your home office in Dubai you will oversee major initiatives with existing and future new clients. This includes collaboration with Ascenda’s team of partnership managers, marketing and communications professionals, you will play a pivotal role in building Ascenda’s brand in the industry and in growing partnerships

You will be instrumental in developing and executing Ascenda’s multi-year global strategic plan. With significant scope and responsibility for defining the company’s partnership strategy, you will forge new relationships, grow existing partner programs and elevate the company’s brand in the regional market.
As a Manager- Partnerships & Marketing you will:
Manage Ascenda’s existing relationships in the market and manage both bank and merchant relationships for Ascenda’s industry-leading TransferConnect exchange network, ensuring that resources are well allocated to achieve key objectives with each partner, and driving new opportunities to grow these relationships profitably
Build relationships with senior decision-makers and functional leaders in the partners’ organizations to understand trends and strategies to build your influence
Ensure effective onboarding of new partners into the Ascenda ecosystem by developing win-win commercials, negotiating contracts, facilitating launches, and designing new digital customer experiences & marketing campaigns catering to the market.
Manage the overall revenue growth and profitability of your portfolio of global relationships through joint marketing initiatives and product suite expansion with partners
Participate and lead business reviews with senior management teams both internally and with partners
Measure and analyze the performance of Ascenda’s partnerships and marketing campaigns, develop insights and advise clients on options to improve performance
Drive the company’s corporate brand, marketing, and communications strategy across owned and paid channels, elevating the visibility and reputation of Ascenda as a technology leader in the space of customer engagement & rewards
Pitch Ascenda’s solutions to major financial services players to secure new client opportunities in your region
Be part of a team to develop new product and strategic partnership opportunities, create sales narratives, and collaborate with Ascenda’s business development teams to attend pitch meetings and industry events
What you bring to the table:
You are an entrepreneurial generalist with the proven ability to commercialise partnerships. You are curious, you love making things happen, and are excited by the opportunity to take on a broad global remit.
You are adept at building relationships, owning and developing partnerships, designing & executing marketing strategies, and collaborating across the entire functional spectrum (partner management, marketing, creative & design, operations, product management, and technology) to get things done.
What we are looking for:
6+ years of business experience, with experience in B2B client relationship management with coverage of partnerships, account management, and marketing in your region.
Experience in one or several of the following sectors: technology, travel, retail financial services, rewards & loyalty
A solid understanding of customer engagement & loyalty strategies across different consumer industries, of the global payments and retail banking landscape, and of digital marketing
Proven ability to establish and manage B2B relationships at the senior level and across cultures, driving win-win commercial outcomes
A business development mindset to identify and pitch new strategic opportunities to partners along with the drive to follow through and execute them quickly
The ability to think strategically, understand the needs of partners and their consumers to present solutions & campaign concepts that meet their objectives and create mutual commercial benefit
In addition to strong relationship management skills, some demonstrated ability of project management is very beneficial
Strong drive for action and appetite to create, build and make things happen
Strong marketing and analytical skills to lead teams in developing and executing joint campaigns with partners
An eye for compelling marketing and design in both B2C and B2B, with the ability to clearly articulate directions for Ascenda’s creative team to develop unique buzz-worthy copy & visual assets for our partners and for Ascenda’s own corporate marketing team in the region
A team player that can engage in rigorous debate and drive consensus towards well-informed, expeditious decisions
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
