We’re looking for an entrepreneurial HR Director to lead all people initiatives across our multiple global team locations. You will enable our uniquely engaging work environment, processes, and exceptional employees as the company scales rapidly around the world.

With a keen eye for efficiency, you will oversee all key people related priorities such as employee engagement, recruitment, employee on-boarding, resource planning, performance management, learning & development, and benefits administration.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the overall HR function for the fast-growing company
  • Drive highest levels of employee engagement through innovative cross-functional initiatives across team bonding, learning & development, rewards & recognition, compensation & benefits, diversity & inclusion
  • Develop and implement simple & effective HR practices centered around talent development
  • Support other senior leaders with building a robust organizational structure and strong employer branding
  • Ensure smooth and flawless HR operations including benefits administration, recruitment, work pass management, onboarding, etc
  • Foster and evolve the Ascenda values to keep pace with the company’s rapid growth
  • Act as point of contact for confidential employee feedback and issues

Requirements

  • Minimum degree holder
  • 8+ years of HR experience, of which at least 3 years should be in a high-growth environment such as a technology start-up or scale-up
  • Hands-on entrepreneurial mindset (i.e. “get stuff done” mentality)
  • Empathetic individual who takes a people-first approach
  • Natural curiosity to learn & experiment quickly
  • Strong coaching and active listening skills
  • Easily approachable
