Join us as Manager, Business Development (SG)
Take on an exciting role as Manager, Business Development with ownership of Ascenda’s bank, fintech and merchant partnerships across APAC.
In this role, you will support the Director of Business Development in developing new business opportunities to expand our ecosystem in the region.

You will be instrumental in developing and executing Ascenda’s multi-year growth plans. With significant scope and responsibility for driving the APAC partnership and business development strategy, you will forge new relationships and elevate the company’s brand in this exciting market.
As a Manager, Business Development you will:
Plan, identify, prospect, qualify a pipeline of prospective clients spanning across banks and fintech partners to drive revenue growth through proactive selling, client referrals & networking.
Leverage both industry and internal product knowledge to provide consultative advice to clients on how they can maximize their utilization of Ascenda’s technologies.
Provide strategic support to the Business Development Director in preparation for meetings, new business pitches and presentations.
Work closely with our in-house creative team in building exciting sales materials such as pitch decks and other collaterals.
Manage sales pipeline and activity trackers, and regularly present key reports and findings to the Senior Leadership team.
Job requirements
What you bring to the table
You are an entrepreneurial self-starter with the proven ability to grow and commercialize key partnerships. You are curious, you love making things happen, and are excited by the opportunity to take on a broad regional remit.
You are adept at building relationships, leading conversations at senior levels and collaborating across the entire functional spectrum of rewards propositions (partner management, marketing, creative & design, operations, product management, and technology) to get things done.
What we are looking for:
- 5-8 years of experience in a sales, partnerships and/or strategic business development role within one of these sectors: Retail banking, financial services, rewards & loyalty, technology, travel.
- A business development mindset with a proven track record of building a strong prospect pipeline, developing opportunities, coming up with innovative solutions and closing deals.
Experience in enterprise B2B sales and demonstrated ability to navigate complex multiple stakeholder deal environments.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate through a fast paced environment
Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills, must be comfortable with senior and/or C-level negotiations and be able to cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers.
Strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen.
