Ascenda is currently looking for distinctive individuals to join our Loyalty team in Sydney.

In this job you will:
As a Business Analyst you will be working together with the client-dedicated team, you will be at the intersection of the company's Product, Marketing, QA and Engineering teams contributing to the overall design, optimisation, execution and accuracy of the program.
Become an SME on the commercial proposition of the loyalty program to enable you to:
o lead requirements gathering workshops with the client
o document the client requirements in a structured manner as a backlog
o coordinate with internal stakeholders (product and tech teams) to identify risk and get the work items effort estimated
o support the product and tech teams throughout design, implementation and testing
o lead, when required, product demo and training sessions with the client business teams and customer support teams
Become the SME on the Ascenda product feature set as deployed for the client
Take responsibility for the agreed client requirements to be considered as part of product feature enhancements, client custom enhancements (client-specific change requests) and broader future project phases.
Support the BAU release management process in a BA capacity, by capturing and documenting all client requirements in accordance to Ascenda standard practices.
Equally, support any major project releases, ensuring both Ascenda standard practices and client project documentation processes are adhered to with regards to the discovery and detail design of the functional requirements.
o Support the QA team in the preparation, review and communication to the client of the project test strategy and test cases for SIT & UAT deliver phases.
o Support the QA team and the client to perform SIT & UAT testing on the delivered solution, ensuring all requirements have been met as per documented design.
Work with the locally dedicated team to support our client and program engagement by:
o Supporting the Marketing Manager with end to end Campaign design, delivery and testing
o Supporting Analytics / BI teams by understanding and capturing future data & reporting requirements and working with the Business Intelligence team on delivering accurate reports and training to the end-users
Skills/experience you’ll already have:
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Banking,Technology,Payments or similar industry.
You are a generalist who cracks any and every problem with creative solutions
You have experience leading and delivering solution designs with detailed requirements gathering and documentation, always with a view to keeping the understanding simple and contextual for others to follow
You are comfortable assisting with backlog grooming and prioritisation exercises to guide for efficiencies within releases and the product roadmap
You have ability to pull data (basic SQL & Excel), monitor & analyse campaign results, develop insights and put together compelling presentations for internal and external customers
Areas of previous experience we are looking for:
o Gather detailed client requirements in client facing meetings and workshops
o Document and prioritise client requirements as a backlog
o Writing acceptance criteria to support Test Cases
o API builds & Batch files and data extract specifications
o Working with data sets
o STFP setup and file transfer flows
o Logical campaign setup rules
o BI reporting
Experience in working with Jira, Confluence, Google suite, Microsoft (Word, ppt, xlsx and Visio)
Strong attention to detail, the ability to pinpoint possible problem areas
Have a strong ability to multitask and effectively prioritise your responsibilities
Exceptional written and oral communicator with experience pulling together efficient and client-friendly reports and presentations
A team player that can engage in debate & drive consensus, and also give & take constructive 360 feedback
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
